American Credit Acceptance is a sub-prime lender that differentiates itself in the market through a high level of customer service to its borrowers and automotive dealerships paired with a unique offering of quality products.

We are able to offer a range of career opportunities through our four main operational departments which consist of Sales, Underwriting, Funding, and Servicing.

  • Sales: Our business starts in the Sales Department. Our Sales Representatives partner with automotive dealerships throughout the nation to show the value of our financing products and how by choosing our products we can enhance the dealer's business.
  • Underwriting: As a product of our Sales Department, automotive dealerships will send us loan applications for potential borrowers. Then our Underwriters will analyze the loan application and credit bureau report for the potential borrowers to determine their creditworthiness and how it aligns with our financial guidelines.
  • Funding: Once approved by our Underwriting Department, the loan comes to our Funding Department. Here, Funders will verify loan and borrower information and ensure all paperwork has been received prior to funding the auto loan.
  • Servicing: After a loan has been funded, it comes to our Servicing Department. In this department our Customer Service Representatives can answer any questions and our Collectors can help borrowers who encounter financial problems.

Through our operational departments we have the opportunity for career growth from the front line employee to team leads to supervisor training. ACA also has numerous support departments including a full IT staff, Human Resources, Risk, Accounting, and Finance.
