Amar Singh

President of Spartan Financial Partners

Amar Singh serves as the President of Spartan Financial Partners. Prior to taking over as President, he was the Chief Operating officer and oversaw Spartan’s Bulk Acquisitions, Line of Credit, and Shared Services operations. Before joining the Spartan team, he held the Senior Vice President of Continuous Improvement and Strategy Realization role for Spartan’s parent company, American Credit Acceptance (ACA).

Amar has an extensive career in operational development, continuous improvement, management, new approach, strategy implementation, and execution. His unique talent to grow and scale operations, in addition to managing large-scale projects, has been an asset to ACA since his onboarding in 2016. Amar is spearheading several projects that continuously look for ways to make processes easier for our dealer partners.

Prior to joining ACA, his prior professional and leadership experience includes time at CarMax, Schlumberger, and Smith International. Amar holds an MBA from Texas McCombs School of Management, Masters of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Oklahoma State University, and Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Osmania University.

John McDermott

Senior Director, Asset-based Lending

As the Senior Director of Asset-Based Lending, John McDermott has been a great resource at Spartan Financial Partners since joining in March 2019. In his role, he successfully directs and manages the following teams for Spartan’s Line of Credit business: Credit Analysis and Underwriting, Business Development, Relationship Management, and Portfolio Reporting. He has utilized his considerable business development knowledge to build strong relationships between Spartan and BHPH dealers and independent auto finance companies throughout the country.

Before joining Spartan, John worked in Capital Markets, Structured Finance, and Asset-Backed Finance groups for banks in New York. His extensive background in transaction structuring and credit and financial analysis gives him an advantage when it comes to providing Spartan’s customers with individualized financing solutions which best fit their capital needs.

John received his BS in Finance from Fordham University.

Bill Shoemaker

Senior Director, Bulk Acquisitions

Bill Shoemaker started with Spartan Financial Partners in March of 2023 after serving 6 years with American Credit Acceptance working on large IT projects and building ACA’s Process Improvement Department. He is responsible for Operations of Bulk Acquisitions (Pricing, Underwriting, Funding & Dealer Relations.)

Bill’s career includes 20+ years in Operations in the Mortgage and Auto lending industries.

Bill has a passion for delivering the highest customer experience through continuous process improvement, technology adoption, automation, and Associate development.

The California native is a graduate of Duke University (B.A. Economics) and is a Navy veteran.

Johnny Wren

Director, Sales

Johnny Wren serves as the Director of Sales at Spartan Financial Partners. Before joining Spartan, his previous work experience includes leading sales teams at companies like Ironclaim and TMX Finance’s Family of Companies. Johnny attended North Texas State University and obtained his Bachelor’s of Science in Marketing.

He has a history of providing coaching based on individual personality and performance to lift the overall performance of a sales team. With a passion for coaching, sales, and people development Johnny looks to be an impact player in moving Spartan to the next level.

Jimmy Rambo

Senior Manager, Asset-based Lending

Jimmy Rambo started with Spartan Financial Partners in March 2017. He is responsible for business development and relationship management within Spartan’s Line of Credit business. In his time with Spartan, he has also served in an Underwriting role, leading the Credit Analyst and Account Executive team.

Prior to Spartan, Jimmy worked in the Banking Industry for 15 years, serving in various Commercial Relationship Management and Credit Administration roles for two community and regional banks. In these roles, he was responsible for originating and structuring various types of commercial credit facilities. His banking background provides experience in communicating with clients, understanding clients’ financial needs and creating an appropriate structure that works for both parties.

The South Carolina native is a graduate of Wofford College (B.A. Finance) and the University of South Carolina (M.B.A. with concentration in Finance).
